Adult Bible Studies

Adult Study – Sunday Mornings

Sometimes we struggle with our prayer life. Stories can remind us of the hope and strength others have found through prayer.  Stories are powerful – both in Scripture, and in our own lived experience.  Scripture is full of these stories — of the power and central importance of prayer in our lives as believers.  Christ modeled this for us.   As we kick off the new Church year, join us for an 8 week Adult Sunday School series on Stories of Prayer, where we will take time to listen to Scripture, to encourage each other, and to hear from members and friends of LCC on their own personal experience with the power and promise of prayer.  We look forward to seeing you during the Sunday School hour!  Please contact Paul Hawkinson with questions.

Women’s Study—Thursday Mornings

We will be studying The three letters of John which will help to answer the questions: what is the essence of true Christianity? What qualities and beliefs characterize a living–and life-changing–faith? 1, 2 and 3 John focus on the most important aspects of Christian life. As Ron Blankley leads us through the twelve LifeGuide® Bible Study lessons of these letters, we’ll discover what really matters–now and for eternity.

For information contact Pastor Bruce at [email protected].

Mens Study – Friday Mornings

Join us at 7 a.m. online for a Bible Study as we study 2 Corinthians.  We use N.T. Wright’s guide to provide the questions for our discussion.  Led by rotation (unless someone feels called to take over leadership!).  “walk through the New Testament”, along with donuts and coffee. All are welcome. If you have questions, feel free to ask Wes Lindahl, Dave Anderson, Kerry Monson,  or many others in the group!

Adult Small Groups

We have a number of other adult small groups meeting at various times throughout the week.  With many foci (community building, topical studies, prayer groups) and many times, these are perfect opportunities to get to know our LCC Family and grow together.

Sunday Morning:

Ladies, you are all welcome to join me during the Sunday school hour as we explore “Colossians: Become the Whole Person God Intends You to Be” by Warren Wiersbe. Please order your own book in advance of our first meeting on September 10th.

Paul did not start the Colossian church, nor did he ever visit it. He had heard of their faith and wrote to address heresies that were undermining the foundations of the Christian faith and attacking the person and work of Jesus Christ. Therefore, the main theme of Colossians is the preeminence of Jesus Christ. Each lesson includes discussion and reflection questions, notes from the commentary Be Complete, Real-Life Application Ideas, and helpful Notes for Small Groups. You will learn how to respond diplomatically yet boldly to the falsehood that aims to corrupt our faith today.” If you have any questions, please reach out to Michelle Pas.

Monday Night: We will continue to meet on Monday nights through December in rotating homes…we are studying The Pigness of Pigs. For more information, contact Pastor Steve at [email protected].
