Chosen Sunday, May 19

Through Covenant Kids Congo (CKC) and World Vision, we have an opportunity to make a connection with a child across the world.  As a new take on traditional Sponsor-a-Child programs, “Chosen” allows the children to express their own agency and dignity by choosing their own Sponsors. On May 19, every one of us will have the opportunity to become a Chosen sponsor for a child. We will hear from CKC Interim Director Scot Gillan and see videos and pictures of both the need and the work being done already.  For those who choose to be a sponsor, we will have our pictures taken which will then be presented to the children in Congo, and they will choose their sponsor! Won’t you join us as together we use the blessings we have received to bless others?

End of Year Celebration, May 19… too!

While we are celebrating our “Chosen” Sunday, we will also be wrapping up another amazing year of ministry at LCC.  During worship, we will take time to publicly thank our teachers, from Sunday school to Small Groups to Youth Groups to Bible studies.  And we will finish our worship with our annual End of Year Picnic!  Join us for a day of fun, food, and getting to know some new friends.  Worship begins at 10:30am (9:30am from May 26 onward) with the picnic to follow out on The Hill.

Graduation Sunday

On June 2, we will recognize and hear from our graduating seniors during our 9:30am worship service.  We will also recognize anyone graduating from a program, whether college, graduate level, or certificate.  If you or someone in your family is graduating this year, please contact the church office and let us know so we can honor them on June 2.
