In Advent each year, we wait and prepare for the coming of Christmas and the great celebration of Jesus’ birth.  We also wait and prepare for His final return promised throughout the scriptures.  But what is it exactly that we are waiting for?  This Advent, we’ll look at the different aspects of this God for which we’re waiting: His justice, His mercy, His joy, and His redemption of all things.

Last year, we spent $3.7 trillion in an effort to be more physically fit.  As one article has said, “Wellness is the new black.”  This fall, we’re going to talk about our spiritual fitness.  Each week will focus on another set of exercises to help us grow as disciples and as a congregation.

This summer we are studying the book of Isaiah and the themes that run through it.  Often called “The Bible in Miniature”, Isaiah wove many of the themes of scripture through his letter, themes like Judgement and Hope, Servant Leadership, Humility and Arrogance, the Holiness of God, and Trust.  Join us at 9:30am this summer.
