LCC Cares: Engagement

As we approach the final of our LCC Cares themes, “Engagement”, we need to get final numbers for each of the four ministries that engage our community.  They are…

Thursday Aug. 2, 6-7:30pm — FMSC Packing Event
Saturday Aug. 4, 8am-12:30pm — Love INC Furniture Delivery
Sunday Aug. 5, 2:30-3:30pm — Winchester House worship service
Tuesday Aug. 7, 9am – 12pm — Food Pantry

As one of our Core Values as a church, engaging the community is part of our DNA, so our hope is that every person connected to LCC will participate in at least one of these ministries.  To sign up for any of the four, click here or on the logo.

“I Can Only Imagine” showing this Wed!

On Wed, July 25 at 5:30pm, we will be showing “I Can Only Imagine” at the church!  This is an easy way to invite friends to church for a meaningful movie presentation.  Tickets are… free, just bring your favorite movie snack and join us.  To view the trailer for the film, just click the pic.

LCC T-shirts for Sale!

Our LCC Tshirts are getting rave reviews!  “This is the most comfortable shirt I’ve ever worn!” said one of our church friends.  “I love being able to put our church name out there for people to see,” said a member.  Whatever your reason may be, you can pick up one of these amazing shirts at church for a simple $5 donation.

Available in the front entryway, just find your size, take your shirt, and give your payment to the office or drop it in the offering plate.

We are hoping to wear them for a group picture at the All-Church Retreat (see the post below for details) and anytime we are working in the community together.  So grab a shirt and show your LCC pride!

“LCC C.A.R.E.S” This Summer

This summer, our congregational gatherings revolve around our church’s Core Values:

Relationships – July 11
Engagement – the week of Aug. 2 through Aug. 7

It’s Time for Libertyville Days Again!

Libertyville Days golf 2014On June 15 and 16, we will once again host a booth at Libertyville Days in downtown Libertyville.  Our purpose is to engage the community in conversation and open up chances to tell our stories.  With a putt-putt golf hole with prizes, pens and water to give away, and a shady and cool place for folk to rest their tired feet, we get hundreds of opportunities to hear and share stories with those walking by.  If you haven’t signed up for a shift, you can do so here.  Come and join us for a fun afternoon being God’s church in the community!
