recalculatingRecalculating…the sound that echoes through the air as I make yet another wrong turn and my GPS attempts to get me back on track.  The road we call life is fast paced and filled with traffic.  From time to time we make wrong turns, get side tracked, delayed or even forget where we are trying to go.  

The church family retreat planning team would like to invite our entire church family to join us for a weekend away as we take time to “recalculate” and refocus our lives in preparation for a new fall season and all the busyness that entails.  During the retreat we will be looking at some specific tools to help us pursue and stay the course for “God First Living” in the year ahead.  CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP and let Brian or Maria know if you have any questions about the retreat.

For those who missed the sermon on Sunday, July 13th, by Pastor Brian and Maria Zahasky you can listen to it Here, on the SERMONS page of our website.  It was good to hear their story and how God is working in their lives during this next part of their journey.  The Zahasky’s last official Sunday at LCC will be August 3rd although they will be with us through the Church Family Retreat the weekend of August 8-10th.

Sunday Sermon: Senior Pastor Candidate, Steve Larson

It is with joy and thanksgiving that we announce a candidate for the senior pastor position at Libertyville Covenant Church! By unanimous vote of the committee on June 17, 2014, Pastor Steven Larson was asked to come to Libertyville for a weekend to meet the congregation and preach on Sunday morning.

Per the by-laws, there will be a congregational meeting on Sunday, July 6, 2014, immediately following the worship service, at which church members will discuss and vote on extending a formal call. Absentee ballots will be made available to members who are not able to attend.
